Join a Volunteer Committee Team!

Your talents and dedication help us fully execute our mission. We are currently seeking volunteers to serve on the following teams:

Sponsorships

  • Positions needed: Members
  • Assist our team to provide a consistent and planned approach for seeking corporate sponsorships for New Horizons and its events
  • Time commitment: 1-2 hours/month

Live Auction

  • Position needed: Members
  • Our special events benefits from a marvelous assortment of live auction items. Assist in the event’s success by finding special items for the auction.
  • Time commitment: intermittent throughout the year

Silent Auction/ Raffle

  • Position needed: Members
  • Help the event team build a wonderful and varied group of items to raise funds at our special events
  • Time commitment: intermittent throughout the year

Special Events Volunteer

  • Position needed: Members
  • Serve on the special events team to assist with day-of logistics, hospitality, registration, and general support
  • Time commitment: 4 hour morning/ afternoon shift on Friday, May 31

2018 Chef Tre Fundraiser a Great Success

Our second fundraiser for 2018 was held in October at the fantastic TRE Cooking Concepts venue with Chef Tre Wilcox. Guests were treated to delicious food and wine pairings, then enthusiastically bid on auction items (anyone for an African safari?) and competed for raffle winnings such as Kendra Scott jewelry, interior design services, Napa Wine Tour, and dinner and hotel gift certificates.
Guests also enjoyed a special presentation by the New Horizons’ kids ensemble, who were the hit of the whole evening! You should have heard their excitement when the kids met Chef Tre and realized THEY were meeting a celebrity!
Our thanks to all who attended and learned more about New Horizons, and to all who donated that night to our mission and ministry. Special shoutouts to our many sponsors, Rachel Roberts – event planner, our event volunteers, our Board of Directors, and our staff who volunteered to make this wonderful event happen!
