The Tastes of Texas Gala Event will feature a collaborative 4-course dinner created by three renowned local chefs showcasing Texas cuisine. Additionally, the evening will feature exclusive chef exhibitions with the three chefs and the opportunity for guests to vote on the favorite of the chefs’ offerings. Indulge in a multi-course dining experience, bid on exciting auction items, learn about the New Horizons of North Texas Program through the NHNTX Experience, and discover the difference that is being made in children’s lives through New Horizons of North Texas . The event will also include live entertainment, including a line dancing tutorial and a few extra surprises. Chef Peja Krystic

Chef Peja Krystic

In 2005, Krstic moved to Dallas, TX. Ambitious, hard driving and temperamental, he began working his way up through different restaurants and cuisines. He is a chef and owner of Mot Hai Ba restaurant in east Dallas. Under his leadership, the tiny neighborhood restaurant has received rave reviews and recognition from food critics, and most importantly, guests. He also owns Ichi and is opening Pillar in Oak Cliff Fall 2024. Chef Krstic mainly focuses on technique and simplicity, combining Vietnamese and French. He believes in importance of quality and seasonal ingredients while being able to praise such by applying the proper technique.

Longtime Dallas chef Jeffery Hobbs got into the restaurant business to put a smile on the people’s faces. At Slow Bone, he gets to do that every day.

He spent years working in both casual and fine-dining kitchens, from Celebration to Suza. He brings a chef’s sensibility to Slow Bone, as tasted in every bite of carefully prepared meats, sides, and condiments. As Slow Bone’s chef-operator, he inspires his staff to not only produce unforgettable food, but also an unforgettable dining experience.

Franchesca Nor is a visionary who is passionate about food accessibility and the planet. For more than 13 years, her restaurant, Dive Coastal Cuisine, has been a beacon of clean eating and sustainability in Dallas. Dive has offered thoughtful, fresh, and healthy offerings for the on-the-go foodie. Now, she is bringing this passion to 4DWN, a local skate park dedicated to service and community with the DiveDWN Future Farm, which will enable Dive Coastal to sustainably source fresh produce for the restaurant, ensuring that customers know exactly where their food comes from. It will also serve as a hub for education, cultivation, and conservation.
